9 Top Water Sports & 5 Awesome Spots For Each

My eldest child recently asked me to do something adventurous besides the usual trout fishing we do (see tips on how to catch a trout fish). So I have been researching for some fun, thrilling yet relaxing water sports we as a family can enjoy. Here are the top ten water sports and the top 5 spots around the World for each that I found out:

From a very young age, people give their children swimming lessons for them to remain fit. One does not have to be a daredevil to learn how to swim in the water and people who want to raise their challenge can take to swimming in the open water. Being the oldest water sports and because no gear is required, people prefer swimming the most.

Swimming helps you keep fit by strengthening your muscles, keeping your heart rate up, build cardiovascular fitness and maintains weight and lungs.

Spots Around the World

As easy and beautiful swimming may seem in your indoor pool, it will be a different experience for you out in the open. Here are few spots for swimming that will make you go “WOAH” at first glance.

  1. Macarella Beach, Menorca, Spain
  2. The Maldive Islands
  3. Linapacan Island, Palawan, Philippines
  4. Cayo Coco, Cuba
  5. Phi Phi Island, Thailand

I have been familiar with this water sports for quite some time now. Sit-on-top kayaks are a life changer for anyone looking out for alone yet thrilling time. And for those who want to enjoy with their loved ones, they can go for a kayak with two cockpits also. How to choose a kayak can be a tricky business, try to pick the better one.

Kayaking burns almost 500 calories on one go as an average of fifty strokes per mile is made which helps in losing weight. It strengthens the lower body muscles, improves heart health because of continuous movement, tunes arms, legs, and back.  There are many types of kayaks including sit-in kayaks, sit-on top kayaks, hybrid kayaks and more.

Sit-on-top kayaks appear to be the trending option. To help you learn more about options for the best sit-on top kayaks out there, check here.

Mother Nature needed us to relax under the water in a way nothing above the water can come close doing it. Most of the people who have tried scuba diving remain in it for a long time. It has the power to make your mental condition better.
